Code of Conduct
for Club Officials and Appointed Volunteers

Consider the well-being and safety of participants before the development of performance.

Develop an appropriate working relationship with performers, based on mutual trust and respect.

Make sure all activities are appropriate to the age, ability and experience of those taking part.

Promote the positive aspects of the sport (e.g. fair play / Spirit of Cricket)

Display consistently high standards of behaviour and appearance

Follow all guidelines laid down by the national governing body The ECB and Tadworth Cricket Club

Hold the appropriate, valid qualifications and appropriate insurance cover
-
Have been appropriately vetted if required, before taking on their role

Always work in an open environment (i.e. avoid private or unobserved situations and encourage an open environment)

Inform Players and Parents of the requirements of Cricket

Know and understand the ECB’s ‘Safe Hands – Cricket’s Policy for Safeguarding Children’

Never exert undue influence over performers to obtain personal benefit or reward
-
Never condone rule violations, rough play or the use of prohibitive substances
-
Any Junior (colt) selected to play for any senior Club fixture is expected to arrive for the fixture dressed appropriately to play and may not shower with the other players once the game has ended, unless under the supervision of an appropriate parent or guardian.
