Code of Conduct for Coaches
Tadworth Cricket Club will ensure that all young player (colt) coaching sessions are managed by an ECB qualified coach.
The Club will ensure that it has at its disposal at least one Level 2 ECB qualified coach. Support to the coach can be offered by members of the Club, but these members are under the supervision of the lead coach.
In the event that there is more than one ECB qualified coach, the lead coach will be the most senior level of coach. If the coaches carry the same level of qualification, the lead coach will be agreed in advance of the coaching session. The other coach will act under the supervision of the lead coach.
It is the responsibility of the Head Coach to ensure that they stay up to date with the requirements of the ECB in all aspects.
The Club Committee is responsible for agreeing any funding of courses/equipment required to stay up to date with the ECB requirements of coaching.
The Club will ensure, thought the Club committee that at least one coach has attended the ‘Equity in your Coaching’ workshop, and evidence of this will be demonstrated within the Clubmark documentation.
It is the responsibility of the Lead/Head Coach to ensure that all members or volunteer involved in the coaching session has completed the necessary documentation.
The Coaches also have to abide by both the ‘Club officials and Appointed Volunteers’ code of conduct and the ECB Coaches Code of Conduct.
